Westlake
Selected as the golf venue for the 2022 Asian Games, Westlake International Golf Club underwent an extensive renovation designed to elevate playing conditions, restore championship presentation, and enhance long-term course performance.
Led by Jim Wagner, the renovation of this 1997 Jack Nicklaus Signature design included reconstructed USGA greens, repositioned and reconstructed bunkers, drainage improvements, reconstructed and expanded teeing grounds to increase flexibility and length, strategic enhancements, and critical infrastructure upgrades. Carefully integrated to respect the character of one of China’s most historic and respected golf clubs, the project transformed Westlake into a modern championship venue that successfully blends tradition with contemporary golf course architecture.
